Living Gaia e.V. is a German nonprofit organisation that has been working with the Indigenous people Huni Kuin since 2014. The Huni Kuin, like many other Indigenous groups in Brazil, are facing a number of daunting challenges, including increasing violence, displacement, and deforestation.

Living Gaia e.V. is helping the Huni Kuin expand their protected areas while preserving their rich culture and traditional way of life. For millennia, the Indigenous peoples of the Amazon have played a central role in preserving this unique ecosystem. Over generations, they have not only protected the rainforest from exploitation but actively shaped and enriched its biodiversity.

They work in a sponsorship model in which people are advised and supported morally intensively and on a long-term basis at eye level.
